Street Portraits: London

The first time I went through these photos, I didn’t feel happy with my edits; I wasn’t able to tell the story I wanted to tell. Frustrated, I gave up and left the photos to sit in “I’ll-get-around-to-editing-them” purgatory.

I decided to go through them again, but this time shifting them to black and white. I desaturated the photos to wash out any distracting backgrounds, each ending up with a more nostalgic and mysterious personality.

I might trend more towards B&W photography because it forces me to focus on photography fundamentals: composition, subject matter, lighting and contrast. And it doesn’t hurt to have an easier editing workflow 😊
